At the eastern end of the bay sits “Mont Orgueil Castle” ( Gorey Castle ). It is above the Gorey Harbour front which has restaurants , shops etc. On the promenade amongst the gardens there is a sculpture of a keel of the type of wooden ships that were made along the beach before the sea wall was built. At night the Castle is floodlight.
