Key MasterHuman Rights seems to have had a bad press over recent years regarding the defence of one's own home and family from an intruder and the amount of force one is allowed to use to defend your home.
Human Rights is a far more wide ranging subject that the defence of one's home. It is well worth looking at the articles and protocols at this website and to find out which of them the States of Jersey subscribe to. But does anyone know which have been adopted in full or only in part?
It is important to advertise the existence of the Human Rights Treaties as they were designed to ensure that people had certain basic right to life, free speech and freedoms and also to ensure that indignities of war are a thing of the past!
