St. Ouen’s Bay and yes the German’s put them there for defence. Just like the D-Day Landing beaches with mines on the top together with all sorts of metal obstacles planted at roughly half tide. Meaning if the boats come in on high tide or half tide they will get blown up and like on D-Day they came in on low tide to miss the obstacles but had a long way to go to reach the safety of the land. Remember the German’s had everything zeroed in so no place was safe anywhere on the beach.

I do not know what Ian Le Marquand ( ILM ) is playing at if he is but if it is just a matter of coming out with some truths then i totally agree with him coming out with the statement that he made on Jersey Radio in which he said “a huge  scandal that i shall inform the States Assembly on Tuesday”. He then goes sick for Tuesday and his deputy knows nothing. One wonders if he had a phone call at home or he may just have realised that he was being to sensational with the statement. Remember the statement he made in the house about the secret dossier on States Members, there was nothing in it, just checking that members were fit to be a States Member. If you work with children the police check you out, so if being a Member of our government one needs to know that you are fit and proper to be a Member. I hope that he is not making a name for himself so as to put in for “Chief Minister” next year. Some people seem to think that he is being naive and has not changed over to being a politician from a magistrate. If he is just being absolutely truthful without an alternative motive then i fully praise him and shall vote for him again.

Thanks Green Fingers we were pulling our hair out trying to think what it was. They look like quite a few other plants, very nice to see at springtime.

Ouaisne Bay is on the south west corner of Jersey Channel Islands. It is in the same bay as St.Brelade’s Bay. It is separated only by a small outcrop of rocks. In the middle of the common above the seawall is a Martello Tower from the days of fighting with Napoleon and a cannon mounted from where i am taking the photo from. The Martello Tower is now a navigation mark for boats.On the common there lives the Agile Frog, it only lives in Jersey. Also on hot summer days you can see the Green Lizard sunning it’s self in the hot sun and in the evenings it can be found on top of the seawall getting the heat out of the concrete. The beach is safe and the water very clean. Good bass fishing in the winter but in the summer to much activity going on the water.

The Oystercatchers waiting for the tide to go down at Petit Port. There are also quite a few Little White Egrets and Dunlins on the rocks too along with Brent Geese.

                                                       A bee on the heather that grows in the front of my house. There are up to 40 bees at a time on the heather and all you can hear is buzzing. The heather is in flower from early November to April when i trim it back and even then it is still in flower. Somebody’s bee hive must be doing well.

Greenfingers can you please tell me what this plant is called. It is in one of my neighbour’s garden and she is on holiday. I have asked her before but i have forgotten.

High Tide at St. Ouen’s Bay which is on the west coastline of Jersey. As the tide comes up it hits the sea wall and then rebounds into the next wave that is coming in, so you get a crush of the two waves that can reach up to 80 to 100 feet at times. The whole of the promenade shakes and a huge boom can be heard when the wave hits the wall. If the high tide coincidence with a high wind it really is worth seeing.

Yes i was always told that broad beans need the cold weather like sprouts. I do not like broad beans.

I believe that the States should not be thinking of making Warcup the next Chief of Police because there are to many unanswered questions.

G. Power the Chief of Police’s  case against the States has not come to a satisfactory conclusion yet . Most people one talks to believes that G.Power is innocent  of any wrong doing. I am surprised that I.Le Marquand has taken this course of action of offering Warcup the post of C.of P.

People just want to know the truth about HDLG and anything else including Stuart Syvret and the Civil Servants. Until any of these things have come to fruition the people cannot trust the members of the States of Jersey who are ministers and assistant ministers also the Heads of the Civil Servants.
