job’s for the month
If weather permits you can make a start at clearing you veg patch and flower borders,
don’t forget that all waste leaves etc should go onto your compost heap. If you havent got one then it’s a good idea to start one. There are many ways you can do this and if your not sure then please just ask me it’s not a problem

Just read your post on rhubarb and shall do what you have said this week. Across the road from me is the pig farm and Farmer John and i know each other well so the compost i shall get. Sounds like you get as many birds in your garden as i do. It’s lovely hearing the dawn chorus at the moment, starts about 5.30am i heard it the other day when i woke up early and made myself a cup of tea and the sun like a big red/orange ball in the sky. It is a shame that some people never seem to take an interest in what is free to see what is around them.
We got a compost bin about 3 years ago and it took about 10 months before it really started to work and when i say work i mean WORK! Lovely black compost from the bottom of the bin comes out. The grandchildren are fascinated by it, seeing the amount of worms insects etc etc. I sometimes leave the top off for a couple of hours for the Robin who loves the insects on the top of the compost, then along comes the Blackbird etc.
