Blackcap.

Today the first pair of “Blackcaps” came into the garden and onto the peanuts. I normal get 2 pairs of Blackcaps every year for the past 15 years. The male has a blackcap on it’s head as shown in the photo and the female a brown cap. Also the Great Spotted Woodpeckers having been coming on the peanuts for the last 3 weeks, they usual come right through to about May. My squirrels seem to have wondered off i am only getting 1 in the garden now when i would have been having up to 8, also no hedgehogs around and once again i would be feeding up to 47 different hogs. So what is going on in the nature world or has something changed in my neck of the woods? Would be nice to know of other less things happening in other gardens.

Well yes i have put some photos up on nature corner but only with the help of Mopinwil who gave me some short but very interesting lessons on what and how to do it. I have not perfected it quite yet but i will with poor Mopinwil at the end of an email with me asking question.
I am hoping to see other people post on this new web site with anything they like.

Thanks for contributing Yogi Bear :) and I hope you have a long association with Jersey Island. I like the nickname. You will have to go look about for a suitable avatar to match it. I look forward to your contributions and especially your videos and photographs. You seem to have a knack for landscape and creatures. I love the Hawk above the pond photo the composition in that one is spot on. You could not plan a photo like that you just have to be at the right place at the right time.
